Atleet Michael (Mark Wahlberg) gooide ooit hoge ogen in de wereld van het ‘adventure racen’. In een laatste poging om de toppen van zijn kunnen te bereiken neemt hij met zijn team deel aan een prestigieuze adventure race in Zuid-Amerika. Tijdens de lange epische tocht door de bergen en jungles van Ecuador stuit het team op een gewonde zwerfhond, die ze Koning Arthur noemen. Zelfs onder barre omstandigheden weet de hond hen telkens opnieuw te vinden en blijkt Arthur net zo’n levenslustige doorzetter als Michael zelf. Zullen ze het avontuur overleven en samen de finish bereiken?

FUN FACT: The following year eight teams showed up to the adventure race with canine mascots of their own. However, by that time, the IRC had already banned the use of what they called: PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DOGS.
I had a better time with this than I thought I would. I got to rewatch this for the mystery screening tonight again. This is nothing crazy, but if you love Mark Wahlberg or you just want to have a fun time I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I hope all of you enjoy this!!

Ukai, the Australian shepherd/border collie/Bouvier mix who stars opposite Mark Wahlberg in the new film “Arthur the King,” undertakes a performance that is more physically rigorous, if not dramatically suspenseful, than the one delivered by the French border collie who appeared in the Oscar-winning film “Anatomy of a Fall.”
