Storyline

The Movie

As tension in the big city reaches a boiling point ahead of the Omniball Championship, skeleton pizza delivery driver Boney unsuspectingly starts his shift. What follows is a wildly unhinged nocturnal delivery run in which reality steadily begins to unravel. The film is fully animated from Boney’s perspective and unfolds in a single, continuous, unbroken shot. The viewer is quite literally trapped inside his skull as Boney rides from address to address, each stop stranger, more absurd, and more hilarious than the last.

This delightfully bizarre and fiercely idiosyncratic animated film was made entirely by Dusty Sanders on his laptop. Thousands of hours of work, pure DIY energy, and all voices performed by friends. The result is a hyper-creative fever dream that balances video game logic, underground animation, and total chaos. Big City Pizza had its world premiere at the WinterBUT Film Festival in Breda, where it was met with an ecstatic audience response.

Big City Pizza is a rare mix of technical bravura, absurd humor, and pure underground vibes. A film you don’t just watch, but fully experience, and one that’s guaranteed to taste better than the pizzas Boney delivers.
